PUBLIC SPEAKING

Ashoka's passion is inspiring people through public speaking and singing. He has served as a Master of Ceremonies at numerous festivals, including the Bhakti Fest of California, LoveLight Festival of Maryland, Boston Yoga Chant Fest, Omega Ecstatic Chant Fest of New York, Denver Chant Festival and Greater Portland Festival of Nations. He was a featured speaker at the Dale Carnegie International Convention in Washington DC and a keynote speaker at the Chaplaincy Institute of Maine graduation ceremony. He has shared his message in settings as diverse as primary schools, universities, national festivals, national conferences and churches. Ashoka is currently facilitating memorials and various gatherings online.

Public Speaking Highlights

• Invited to give a talk on Mahatma Gandhi and introduced Gandhi’s grandson Arun Gandhi in Boston at the Boston Yoga and Chant Festival.

• Featured speaker at Dale Carnegie International Convention in Washington DC, with about 720 people from 80 countries in attendance.
• Served as an emcee at all major US yoga and chanting festivals.
• Gave several speeches at organizations including SCORE, Banks Association of Maine, Greater Portland Chamber of Commerce, SBA annual conference, several Rotary Clubs, King Middle School, Seeds of Peace, several times at the University of Southern Maine, Unitarian Universalist Church and in India, Maine International Trade Center, United Way Annual Meeting, and several churches.
• Speaker at Martin Luther King memorial breakfast.
• Gave benediction at Chaplaincy Institute of Maine graduation.
• introduced Governor Angus King (Currently US Senator) in 1997 and 1998 at Blaine House Conference for Small Businesses.
